"The clearing doesn't open through force or willpower. It opens through sustained presence, meditative questioning, and the courage to dwell with complexity."
What You're Applying For
The Inner Circle Cohort is an intensive 8-week program where you work personally with David Michael Boje and a small group (maximum 8 participants) to transform stuck family or organizational systems using TogetherStorying Decision Tree Software Version 5.0.
This is not the open weekly circle. This is sustained, rigorous work for people ready to:
- Map their family or organizational system's complete story architecture
- Identify and dismantle echo chambers at their roots
- Navigate quantum entanglements between personal, family, and organizational narratives
- Develop sustained restorying practices that last beyond the cohort
- Build their own enthinkment circle facilitation skills
Cohort Details
- Duration: 8 consecutive weeks
- Schedule: Fridays 1-2:30 PM Mountain Time
- Format: Live Zoom with camera-on participation required
- Group Size: Maximum 8 participants
- Leadership: David M. Boje, Ph.D. (Professor Emeritus, NMSU)
- Tools Used: TogetherStorying Version 5.0, Heidegger's Besinnung practices, Antenarrative mapping
- Private Zoom Room: Separate from open circles, with waiting room protection
What We'll Do Together
Weeks 1-2: Mapping Your Story Architecture
We begin by revealing the hidden story structures in your system. You'll learn to identify which of the seven antenarrative patterns (linear, cyclical, spiral, rhizome, network, chaos, fractal) dominates your family or organizational storytelling.
Weeks 3-4: Echo Chamber Detection & Tamaraland Navigation
We map where your system has fragmented into simultaneous, contradictory realities—what Boje calls "Tamaraland." You'll see how multiple stories unfold at once, with no single voice able to see the whole.
Weeks 5-6: Quantum Entanglement & Polyphony
We examine how your personal stories, family stories, and organizational stories are entangled in ways you haven't recognized. We practice Bakhtinian polyphony—learning to hold multiple voices without collapsing them into monologue.
Weeks 7-8: Restorying & Integration
We develop your unique restorying pathway and build sustainable practices. You'll leave with a clear map of how to continue the work and, if appropriate, how to facilitate enthinkment circles yourself.
Required Commitments
- Attend all 8 sessions (if you miss one due to emergency, recording available)
- Camera on and active participation in every session
- 30-60 minutes of "homework" between sessions (journaling, mapping exercises)
- Confidentiality agreement for all participants
- Willingness to be uncomfortable as stuck stories surface
Investment
Sliding Scale: $500-$1200
We use a sliding scale based on your ability to pay. Choose the amount that feels right for your circumstances:
- $1200: Standard rate if you have financial stability
- $800-1000: If finances are tight but manageable
- $500: If money is genuinely a hardship right now
Full Scholarships Available
Veterans and first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, EMT/paramedics) can apply for full scholarship through PerView Inc., our 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
If you are a veteran or first responder, simply note this in your application and we'll follow up directly.
